Engineering software
Solidworks ® and
Solidedge ® are solid modeling software used to create and visualize the models and assemblies. Rendering the model is an effective sales and communication tool.
Rhinoceros ® is effective in NURBS type solid modeling. It allows contours and surfaces to be shaped easily.
PADS Logic ® used for schematic capture.
PADS Layout ® used for circuit board design.
PADS Auto Router ® auto router helps design the circuit board trace routes.
Coreldraw ®,
Photopaint ®,
Photoshop ®,
Illustrator ® are used for graphic work including labels and documentation.
Acrobat ® aids in document control and communication.
3D MAX ® will animate CAD models, and render with photo qualities.
AutoCAD ® and
intelliCAD ® may be used for validation and file manipulation.
Software listed import and export CAD vector information and graphic files to transfer detailed information of the parts and subassemblies between other software packages. This process allows continuous verification of product being designed and assures all parts and subassemblies of the product will fit correctly and work smoothly. CAD assures PCB and user interfaces fit correctly in an enclosure, and labels align to enclosure and PCB.
Fusion deposition modeling / Dimension SST
Protomatix operates Dimension ® SST 768 series FDM machines from Stratasys. These machines have an 8" X 8" X 12" build envelope and a wash away support structure for fine detail features. Our FDM printer helps in many ways including fixturing, mold forming, and part visualization.
Machine shop
The Protomatix machine shop is well suited for small to medium size parts requiring precision tolerances. Often special fixturing is designed to accommodate part fabrication. Machines may be retrofitted for interface with electronic test equipment for electro-mechanical and electro-optical measurement and alignment. Precision measurement tools may be used for independent measurement or integrated into system measurement devices.
Electronics lab
Protomatix electronics lab consists of standard and specialty test equipment. Standard test equipment includes but not limited to precision digital multimeters, oscilloscopes, waveform generators, frequency counters, capacitance meters, and PC based computers. Specialty test equipment includes but not limited to logic analyzers, current probes, and temperature probes.
